Crocodile Detective

I really like anthropomorphized animal stories like Disney's Zootopia and Robin Hood, but also Ernest and Celestine and the comic Blacksad. I started this series back in 2021 to test out new colors and painting approaches. It revolves around a crocodile detective eluding bad guys in a train yard.

In most of my compositions, you're right there with the main character, but I liked in this version that you're there with the baddies, while the good guy is escaping, but almost out of view.

I used Blender models for reference this time around and it was a big help.

I always found red and green to be a difficult color palette - it always reminds me of Christmas, but I painted this off of one of my favorite color keys.
